Role Description:
Become a Local Driver for the dedicated team at Red Baron Transportation at our Darlington, SC, location.
In this role, you are a crucial part of our logistics operations.
Your responsibilities include conducting pre-trip inspections, coordinating with the previous shift for load assignments, and ensuring timely deliveries to the Dixie Plant.
Additionally, when not performing local driving duties, you will undertake Yard Jockey tasks.
These duties are essential for maintaining our efficient, 24/7 transport operations.
Key
Responsibilities:
Safely operate Class A CDL vehicles.
Adhere to assigned schedules and routes, ensuring timely completion.
Utilize electronic devices for job-related tasks.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, coworkers, and customers.
Regular sitting and occasional lifting.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Class A driving or related roles.
Exhibit strong attention to detail, adhering to schedules and delivery timelines.
Work well independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
Have experience with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
Possess a positive attitude, adaptability, and a solid work ethic.
Clean MVR and background, valid Medical Card.
Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
Benefits and Compensation:
