Georgia-Pacific's Dixie Consumer Products division is seeking qualified professionals to consider for their Operations Manager opportunity supporting the Darlington, SC manufacturing operation. The Operations Manager will have responsibility for all aspects of the manufacturing operations. The leader in this role will establish and support the organization's growth in applying MBM (Market Based Management) to continue Darlington's vision of maximizing profitability while improving operating efficiency. The Operations Manager provides expertise and leadership to drive continuous improvement in risk reduction, compliance, quality, cost and reliability.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

Demonstrate, apply and foster our Market Based Management (MBM ) culture.
Build and support a culture where employees address unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors and participate in improvement.
Identify opportunities to reduce risk and demonstrate the initiative to take corrective action.
Accountable to ensure all employees have the knowledge, tools and capabilities to perform their work in a safe manner.
Be a change agent and pro-actively promote safety activities and participation within the organization.
Operations Excellence & Performance Management:
Develop team members to act as Principled Entrepreneurs, execute the Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations process, and utilize the MBM framework.
Lead efforts to utilize Operations Excellence to improve the performance of the plant's competitive position relative to risk reduction, EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, yield, productivity, cost, and capital projects.
Lead and develop employees to improve capability and performance
Direct production processes in our converting operations.
Communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.
Collaborate effectively with business partners at all levels of the organization.
Oversee efforts to accelerate training and verification process of team members
Evaluate, prioritize, and implement asset improvement initiatives to improve performance
What You Will Need:
Basic
Qualifications:
7 or more years of experience working within a manufacturing environment OR (5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering)
5 or more years of supervisory experience with responsibility for direct reports within a manufacturing environment
Experience using Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge and understanding of Theory of Operations

Qualifications:
Experience as a supervisor in a MBM culture
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or Business
Experience working within converting operation
Experience evaluating, prioritizing and implementing project
