Industrial Maintenance Electrician - Darlington, SC

Our Dixie Maintenance team in Darlington, SC, has an opening for Industrial Maintenance Electricians. These individuals will be supporting our Cup and Plate departments as well as our Distribution Center. Industrial Maintenance Electricians create value by ensuring reliability of equipment to help meet and exceed the facility's goals for quality and production.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Positively influence and cultivate our safety culture
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair machinery and mechanical equipment including motors, controls, PLCs, drive systems, hydraulic/pneumatic components, and power transmission systems in accordance with plant policies and procedures
  • Utilize diagrams, schematics, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers specifications to maintain and properly fix machinery issues
  • Work with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and operations to plan PMs, identify parts required for the job, and document activities for the enhancement of electrical and instrumentation maintenance within the facility
  • Review, develop, and/or modify work orders for all plant equipment and entering work orders into the facility maintenance system
  • Support Reliability program

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations to include wearing safety equipment
  • Willing and able to work an eight (8) or twelve (12) hour rotating shift, including holidays, weekends, overtime and on call hours as needed
  • Two (2) year electrical technical degree or five (5) or more years of experience as an industrial electrician
  • Knowledge of NEC (National Electric Code)
  • Willing and ableto work at elevated heights and in confined spaces
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience with OR education in controls wiring, controls devices (relays, drives, controllers, A/C and D/C motors, etc.) and PLC ladder logic

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using verbal and written communication skills to complete assigned tasks and effectively work with coworkers
  • Associate or Technical degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation, or Electronic Technology AND at least two (2) years of electrical/electronic and/or instrument & control troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) Control Logix/RS Logix
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, A/C and D/C motor controller and drives
  • Experience with FactoryTalk
  • Experience with single and 3-phase electrical repair and troubleshooting up to 480 volts
